Stephens Photos

Well since making this site a wordpress site I haven’t done any real learning.That isn’t to say I haven’t been taking photos just the usual and not any worth putting up here.

I have bought some filters to help with lighting and to protect the lenses. The lenses I bought are available from amazon. It is a set of three UV, Fluorescent and Polarizer. I seem to keep the UV on all the time to stop the lens from getting scratched. I have used the polarizer a couple of time to test and only used the Fluorescent to play with making people purple.

The price was great for a cheap set and they come in a handy little case.

I also have a tripod which was donated from my mother-in-law and I have used to get some stable photos.

To help with ideas of what to take photos of and techniques I have started reading dslruser and at the moment they have a great offer 5 issues for £5.

Today it has been snowing very heavily in the area I live in. So on my out to lunch I decided to take a few photos. This is the one I prefer the most . The other photos I have taken can be found here.

I thought it would be useful to add some new content such as a link to the photographs rights guide. A Gallery so you can view the photos I upload and a list of digital photography books I am reading or have alright read (including links to these books on Amazon).

Welcome to the new look stephens photos website. Now although this domain has been registered for over half a year all that sat here before was a copy of coppermine. I have now decided add some more content. I am a newbie when it comes to photography and I am learning how to improve. I have found the best way to improve is to document what I have learnt. So I am going to write some tutorials on the techniques I am using with examples and other things I have picked up on the way.
